Private roads & road associations

One road. Every neighbor on it.

A shared gravel road puts the same dust on every house along it. We treat private and association roads across the Rogue Valley, from a short stretch to miles of roadway.

Rogue Dust Control's tanker driving away up a shared dirt road through pines, spraying as it goes.

Sharing the cost

One quote, divided by the households on the road, gives each household's share.

How a shared road pays

One quote. Split it fair.

Forward this page to the neighbors. It shows how one quote can cover the whole road.

  1. One neighbor sends the road

Whoever has the time, or the association treasurer, calls or sends the road: where it starts and stops, and how many households are on it.

  2. We quote the whole road

One quote and one appointment for the road, so nobody has to line up separate jobs house by house.

  3. The neighbors split it

How the cost is shared is up to the road. Some split it evenly by household, some weigh it by how much of the road each house drives, or ask more of a heavy user, like a farm running trucks. If your road has an agreement, it decides.

Road associations ask

What the board will ask.

Do the neighbors have to stay off the road?

No. You can drive on it right away. It is fully dry in about two hours on a hot summer day.

How do neighbors split the cost?

One person sends the road and we quote it as one job. How the neighbors share it is up to the road: some split it evenly by household, some weigh it by how much of the road each house uses. If your road has an agreement, it decides.

Can you treat just our stretch?

Tell us where your section starts and stops and we will quote that stretch.

How long does it last?

It is built to last the summer season. Tell us how much traffic the road takes and we will talk through what to expect.

Is it safe around animals and gardens?

What we spray is a plant-based lignin sulfonate. The product is described as safe for animals, plants and people, non-corrosive and non-toxic. Lignin is also used in cattle feed and crop fertilizers.

What goes on the road?

One product: a 100% organic, plant-based lignin sulfonate. It binds the loose particles on the road surface, and the sun hardens part of it into a layer that resists water and dust. It is especially good on roads with more dirt and sand in them.

Call or send it

One call covers the road.

Whoever has the time, or the treasurer, can call. Seven days a week, 8am to 6pm.
